Job summary

Amex GBT is seeking an Event Manager to plan and deliver end-to-end programs for a dedicated Experience Studio team, partnering with a producer on each project. You will own onsite execution, manage budgets up to $500,000, coordinate venues, transportation, and AV, and work with Attendee Experience Coordinators to ensure seamless attendee communications.

Four or more years of corporate meetings experience are required; CMP preferred.

Qualifications

• Four or more years planning corporate meetings and events.
• Onsite lead on ten or more programs per year.
• Independent budget management up to $500,000 with forecasts.
• Knowledge of hotel contracts, banquet orders, and cost drivers.
• Proficient with Cvent and enterprise project tools.
• Experience supporting a producer or client event owner.
• Strong on-site composure and leadership under change.
• Clear written updates and attendee communications.
• CMP or progress toward CMP certification.
• Ability to manage multiple programs concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver assigned programs end to end with the producer.
• Maintain program plans in client tools with tasks and dates.
• Build and manage budgets up to $500,000 and reconcile expenses.
• Manage hotels, venues, transport, F&B, and AV contracts.
• Coordinate registration, housing, and attendee communications.
• Lead onsite for programs, staffing, run of show, and suppliers.
• Handle multiple programs at different stages and maintain schedule.
• Close programs with final invoices, reconciliations, and debriefs.
• Maintain planning files and supplier records for handoff.
• Raise risks early with recommendations to producer and Studio Ops Manager.
