Job summary

Amex GBT is seeking an Event Manager to plan and deliver end-to-end programs for a dedicated Experience Studio team. You will own budgets, coordinate with suppliers, and lead onsite execution across multiple programs annually.

The role requires 4+ years in corporate event planning, strong Cvent skills, and ability to manage large budgets within client guidelines. US-based base salary is competitive with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Four or more years planning corporate meetings and events from kickoff through reconciliation.
• Experience as onsite lead on ten or more programs a year.
• Independent management of program budgets up to $500,000 with accurate forecasts and clean reconciliations.
• Knowledge of hotel and supplier contracts, banquet orders, and cost drivers.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver assigned programs end to end with the producer, from kickoff through onsite execution and close.
• Keep the program plan current in the client's project tools, with tasks, owners, and dates the producer and the client can read without asking.
• Build and manage program budgets with the producer, independently up to $500,000 and alongside a Senior Event Manager on larger programs.
• Manage suppliers from contract terms through final invoices within client rules.
• Coordinate with Attendee Experience Coordinators on registration and communications.
• Lead onsite for programs, including staffing and run of show.
• Carry multiple programs at different stages and maintain schedule.
