Job summary

Amex GBT is seeking an Event Manager to plan and deliver end-to-end programs for a dedicated Experience Studio team, working with a producer who owns strategy, stakeholders, content, and the budget. You will run the plan, the budget, the suppliers, and the onsite logistics that make the program happen.

This role requires four or more years of corporate meeting experience, onsite leadership on ten or more programs annually, and strong knowledge of hotel contracts, budgets up to $500,000, and

Qualifications

• Four or more years planning corporate meetings and events.
• Experience onsite lead on ten or more programs per year.
• Independent management of program budgets up to $500,000, with forecasts and reconciliations.
• Knowledge of hotel and supplier contracts, banquet orders, and cost drivers.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver assigned programs end to end with the producer.
• Keep the program plan current in the client’s project tools with tasks, owners, and dates.
• Build and manage program budgets up to $500,000 and reconcile final invoices.
• Manage hotels, venues, transportation, food & beverage, and AV contracts and invoices.
• Lead onsite for programs, including staffing and run of show.
• Close programs on time with final invoices and debrief.
• Maintain planning files and notes for easy handover.
• Raise risks to the producer and Studio Operations Manager with recommendations.
