Job summary

The Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel is seeking a Director of Event Services to support the Convention Services section within the Sales Department. The role focuses on coordinating convention and meeting groups efficiently and professionally.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: At least two years of supervisory sales and/or catering.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative duties relevant to account responsibilities in compliance with corporate guidelines.
• Coordinate activities of various departments to service accounts, such as directing room service in VIP amenities.
• Coordinate and monitor guest room blocks and special reservation needs; assign banquet/meeting rooms based on client needs.
• Advise sales staff on space and equipment feasibility and assist in promoting hotel and developing leads.
• Plan and conduct pre- and post-convention meetings with clients and departments.
