Job summary
Aspire Talent Solutions is seeking a Controls Engineer for its southwest suburban Atlanta manufacturing facility. The role focuses on troubleshooting, programming, and integrating equipment in a high mix manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on safety, uptime, and efficiency.
Responsibilities include electrical troubleshooting, PLC/HMI programming, and leading projects from initiation through completion.
Qualifications
- Four years of technical education or degree, or two years with related work experience.
- Prefer at least 5 years as a controls engineer; will consider 2+ years with strong credentials.
- Experience in Allen Bradley PLC environments and machine controls is required.
- Ability to lead projects and coordinate internal/external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot electrical/control systems on production equipment from 24V to 480V.
- Program, modify, and commission PLC/HMI logic to improve safety and efficiency.
- Lead projects and coordinate activities with maintenance, engineering, and vendors.
- Prepare technical reports, FATs, and ensure regulatory compliance and safety.
- Design improvements to electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic circuits.
- Document changes and maintain accurate control-system documentation.
