Job summary

Top Echelon Software, LLC in the Atlanta southwest metro area seeks a seasoned Controls Engineer to troubleshoot, program, and integrate equipment and automation systems. The role focuses on improving safety, efficiency, and uptime in a high-volume manufacturing environment using Allen-Bradley PLCs.

You will analyze electrical circuits, lead projects, and collaborate across Maintenance, Manufacturing Engineering, and Production.

Qualifications

Four years of technical education or degree, or two years of technical education with related work experience and/or training.
Prefer at least 5 years as a controls engineer, but will consider at least 2 years as a controls engineer.
Experience in an Allen-Bradley PLC environment and related control systems.
Strong ability to troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic circuitry in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

Maintain effective relationships with Maintenance, Toolroom, Manufacturing Engineering, Technology Team, and Production to support operations.
Perform electrical troubleshooting on 24V to 480V circuits and diagnose faults to restore operation.
Provide controls engineering expertise: design, programming, commissioning, and testing.
Lead projects, coordinating activities, timelines, and requirements with internal and external stakeholders.
Prepare technical reports, FATs, and documentation for control system changes.
Maintain safety compliance with applicable OHSA/EHS standards.
