Job summary

Beehive Industries is seeking a Lead Engineer, Controls Software to design, develop and validate control software for gas turbine engines. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to optimize propulsion performance and support engine testing and qualification activities.

The role requires a strong background in controls theory, dynamic modeling, and MATLAB/Simulink, with experience in embedded real-time systems and software verification. US citizenship for security clearance applies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
8+ years of experience in controls engineering, embedded software, or aerospace propulsion systems.
Experience developing, testing, or validating control system software and models.
Strong knowledge of control systems theory, dynamic modeling, and feedback design.
Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink and embedded software development.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and validate engine control software, control logic, and simulation models.
Maintain software requirements, functional models, control architectures, and docs.
Perform control system analysis, including dynamic modeling and stability analysis.
Develop and execute software verification and validation using simulations and test data.
Support development of EEC/FADEC systems and HIL/SIL environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize engine performance.
Lead test planning, instrumentation needs, and data analysis during tests.
