Job summary

Beehive Industries is seeking a Lead Engineer, Controls Software in Colorado or Ohio to design, develop, and validate gas turbine engine control software and hardware for advanced aerospace applications.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, lead technical activities on engine test programs, and mentor junior engineers while advancing FADEC/EEC integration and additive manufacturing efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate engine control software and control logic for gas turbine engine applications.
• Develop and maintain software requirements, functional models, control architectures, and configuration-controlled engineering documentation.
• Perform control system analysis including dynamic modeling, stability analysis, and control law tuning in time and frequency domains.
• Develop and execute software verification and validation using simulation tools, test vectors, and engine data.
• Support development and integration of EEC and FADEC systems.
• Design, integrate, and troubleshoot HIL and SIL environments.
• Analyze engine test results and data to identify issues and drive improvements.
• Support integration of additive manufacturing into engine design and control development.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on controls software development practices.
