Job summary

Beehive Industries in Centennial, CO or Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Lead Engineer, Controls Software to design, develop, and validate gas turbine engine control software and hardware for advanced aerospace applications.

You will lead cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, contribute to EEC/FADEC systems, and advance additive manufacturing integration in propulsion control. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills and a U.S. clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in controls engineering, embedded software, aerospace systems, propulsion systems, or related fields.
• Experience developing, testing, or validating control system software and models.
• Experience with cross-functional technical activities and documenting technical findings.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate engine control software, control logic, and simulation models for gas turbine engine applications.
• Develop and maintain software requirements, functional models, control architectures, and engineering documentation.
• Perform control system analysis including modeling, stability analysis, and control law tuning.
• Develop and execute software verification and validation using simulations and test data.
• Support development and integration of EEC and FADEC systems.
• Design, integrate, and troubleshoot HIL and SIL environments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize engine performance.
• Lead technical activities during engine or component test programs and instrumentation planning.
• Participate in design reviews and provide recommendations for control development.
• Support integration of additive manufacturing into engine design and control development.
• Mentor junior engineers on controls software development practices.
