Job summary

SchooLinks seeks a seasoned Controller to lead and scale our accounting organization, partnering with the CFO and executive team. The role demands hands-on execution, deep GAAP/ASC 606 knowledge, and a proactive, data-driven approach to drive financial excellence in a fast-growing SaaS business.

The ideal candidate will manage close processes, oversee audits, build internal controls, and collaborate with FP&A on budgeting and forecasting, while developing a high-performing finance team.

Qualifications

• CPA required; Big 4 or national firm experience preferred.
• Proven leadership in building/scaling accounting functions at SaaS/PE-backed companies.
• Strong GAAP/ASC 606 knowledge; SaaS revenue and ERP systems expertise.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with accurate reporting.
• Scale and develop the accounting team, including recruiting and succession planning.
• Manage AP/AR, payroll, GL, and internal controls across the business.
• Lead external audits and maintain relationships with auditors.
• Collaborate with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Oversee tax compliance (federal, state, local).
