Job summary

Primordial Labs Inc. is seeking a Controller to build and own the accounting function from the ground up. You will manage close, controls, technical accounting, audit, tax, and GovCon relationships in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires leadership, deep GAAP knowledge, and experience with government contracting, including DCAA/DCMA. This is a fully remote position open to US residents, with a compensation range of $150,000–$195,000 annually.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and active CPA license.
• 10+ years in accounting/finance with leadership experience.
• Government contracting experience, FAR Part 31 cost principles and DCAA expectations.
• Hands-on in financial close and compliant timekeeping/labor distribution.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close under U.S. GAAP with accuracy.
• Oversee GL, reconciliations, DCAA-compliant labor distributions, and controls.
• Lead audits, tax coordination, and GovCon ERP implementation.
• Advise management on contracts, financings, and acquisitions.
