Job summary

CNN, part of Warner Bros. Discovery, is seeking a Senior Analyst, Content Analytics to help us understand how journalism performs, why audiences engage, and how insights can improve content strategy across platforms.

You will collaborate with Editorial, Audience Strategy, Product, Social, Programming and Revenue teams to translate content and audience data into actionable recommendations that inform coverage decisions, audience growth strategies, distribution approaches, and business priorities.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in content analytics, audience analytics, digital analytics, business intelligence, data science, or a related analytical field.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with large-scale digital content and audience datasets.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear recommendations and insights for business, editorial, or leadership audiences.
• Experience applying analytical frameworks, benchmarks, measurement approaches, or recurring methodologies to answer business questions.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate, actionable analysis in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in digital media, publishing, news, audience development, content strategy, or social distribution is a preference.
• Experience with content performance analysis, audience segmentation, cohort analysis, experimentation, benchmarking, or editorial research is a preference.
• Familiarity with dbt, modern data modeling practices, analytics engineering workflows, or Python/statistical scripting languages is a preference.
