Job summary

Somerset Trust Company is seeking an experienced supervisor to manage the Consumer Underwriting and Processing area. The role leads, trains, and mentors staff, ensures compliance, and collaborates with auditors and regulators to maintain accurate loan operations across the branch network.

You will develop workflows, oversee reporting, and work with management to set annual lending targets while maintaining confidentiality and high standards of service.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of supervisory/leadership experience.
• Prior banking experience and knowledge of consumer lending products.
• High school diploma or GED; some college preferred; NMLSR registration required.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to train and coach staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Consumer Underwriting and Processing area.
• Train and coach staff to meet department goals.
• Coordinate with Lenders, Consumer Real Estate Originators, Operations staff and senior management.
• Develop and maintain workflows with proper segregation of duties.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations during audits.
