Job summary

Tokio Marine HCC is seeking an experienced E&S Construction Underwriter to develop and manage a profitable middle-market construction book. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of E&S construction underwriting, with a track record of handling larger, complex accounts and minimal supervision.

Travel is occasional (up to 25%), and the role offers a competitive package with comprehensive medical benefits. The role is remote with flexibility in geographic placement within the US.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years underwriting E&S construction business.
• Experience underwriting middle-market construction accounts.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must have E&S construction underwriting experience.
• Understand and manage larger, more complex accounts.
• Evaluate new and renewal applications and determine pricing.
• Communicate with brokers within designated timeframes.
• Create and maintain documentation per guidelines.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of relevant middle-market contractors E&S experience.
• Studies toward CPCU / RPLU / AU / CIC or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a profitable middle-market construction book.
• Underwrite and price risks following guidelines.
• Interact with brokers and provide underwriting resources.
