Job summary

Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of E&S construction underwriting, a track record handling larger accounts, and ownership of a sizeable book of business.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of E&S construction underwriting experience.
• Experience marketing to brokers and developing business relationships.
• Demonstrated ownership of a sizeable book of business, ideally $3M-$5M or more.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new and renewal policy applications and related documents to classify and assess risk, determine acceptability, assign rating, endorsements and limits, and pricing.
• Contact and respond to inquiries from brokers within designated timeframe.
• Create and maintain all underwriting documentation and files.
• Adhere to underwriting authority directives and company policies.
• Approve or deny within given authority or recommend actions to higher authority.
• Cultivate relationships to facilitate underwriting and business development.
