Job summary

This role requires a Bachelor’s degree, five years underwriting experience with authority, strong broker relationships, and proficiency in Excel/Outlook/Word; travel about 20%. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Continual development through education and self-study.
• IIA and CPCU designations strongly preferred.
• Minimum five years underwriting experience with authority.
• Customer-focused and results-driven approach.
• Strong relationships with professional liability brokers in the Central U.S.
• Excellent negotiation skills with win/win outcomes.
• Flexibility to adapt to change and strong execution focus.
• Proven ability to deliver expected results.
• Ability to collect, analyze and interpret information to underwrite profitably.
• Proficiency in Excel, Outlook and Word.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and analyze new business and renewals for assigned lines.
• Ensure marketing initiatives and clear communication to brokers.
• Develop and expand broker relations in targeted territories.
• Participate in client and broker meetings.
• Maintain a submission pipeline to meet production and mix objectives.
• Leverage market contacts to generate business and cross-sell other products.
