Job summary

Argo Group is seeking a production underwriter to market, underwrite, and process assigned lines of business. This on-site role involves working with retail and wholesale brokers, expanding broker relationships, and participating in client meetings. A Bachelor’s degree plus five years underwriting experience is required, with IIA/CPCU designations preferred.

Travel ~20% is expected. The position offers a base salary with eligibility for annual bonus and a comprehensive benefits package,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university required.
• IIA and CPCU designations strongly preferred.
• Minimum five years underwriting experience with authority.
• Proven ability to build robust relationships with brokers.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and analyze new business and renewal submissions.
• Market and communicate our products to brokers and clients.
• Develop and maintain broker relationships and pursue new opportunities.
• Participate in client and broker meetings and gather market intelligence.
• Build a submission pipeline to meet production and mix objectives.
• Use market contacts to cross-sell other products.
