Job summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction seeks an experienced Superintendent to lead on-site operations, safety, scheduling, and trade coordination for projects typically under $75 million. You will partner with the Project Manager and owner/design teams to ensure quality, safety, and timely delivery across complex sites.

The role demands strong leadership, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining AP’s IIF culture. Travel to project sites is required.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field with 6+ years related experience; or a high school diploma/equivalent with 10+ years related experience.
• Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, P6, MS Project, Excel, AutoCad, and project management software.
• Solid understanding of building plans, specs, value engineering, and lifecycle costing.
• Proven results in driving safety initiatives and compliance.
• Current or ability to obtain OSHA 30 and company safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Take personal responsibility for working safely within an incident and injury free culture.
• Manage on-site construction activities and coordination with field teams.
• Schedule, procure, and ensure training for tools and processes on site; lead toolbox talks.
• Maintain updated drawings and ensure quality work from trade contractors.
• Manage project schedules, cost codes, budgets, and production units; monitor productivity.
• Develop and monitor site quality plans; ensure compliance with AP standards.
• Troubleshoot site challenges and document changes.
• Coordinate inspections with authorities and agencies.
