Job summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is seeking a seasoned on-site leader to manage construction activities, ensure safety, and maintain project plans through close-out. You will coordinate trades, schedules, and budgets while upholding AP’s quality and safety standards.

You will contribute to pre-construction efforts, prepare detailed schedules, and drive site safety plans, trainings, and documentation across projects nationwide.

Qualifications

• Experience managing on-site construction activities with safety focus.
• Ability to read and manage plans, specs, and updated drawings.
• Proven track record coordinating trades, schedules, and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Take personal responsibility for safety in an incident-free culture.
• Manage on-site construction activities and project team.
• Understand plans and maintain updated drawings as records.
• Schedule, procure tools/equipment/materials; train team on tools/processes.
• Lead start-up and close-out meetings with project team.
• Hold trade contractors to schedule and quality expectations.
• Control project cost codes, budgets, and production units.
• Ensure quality per AP programs and safety plans.
• Troubleshoot site challenges and document changes.
• Help create site-specific safety plans and maintain OSHA literature.
• Provide pre-construction input and constructability reviews.
• Assist in pre-construction scheduling and quantity take-offs.
• Develop detailed project schedules with procurement items.
• Establish punchlist procedures and zero punchlist targets.
• Ensure subcontractors meet insurance requirements.
• Support business development and client relationships.
