Job summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to lead on-site operations for large, complex projects valued over $50 million. You will manage field teams, safety programs, and coordination with owners, design teams, and trade contractors.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field plus extensive field leadership experience, with a strong emphasis on safety and schedule control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field plus 8+ years of construction management experience.
• 2+ years of people management experience.
• Proficiency with Prolog, P6, MS Project, Excel, and AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of plans and specifications, value engineering, and life cycle costing.
• OSHA 30 certification (or ability to become current).
• Ability to travel to project sites and long-term assignments.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Take personal responsibility for working safely within an IIF culture.
• Manage on-site construction activities across small to large projects.
• Understand plans and specifications; keep updated drawings.
• Procure tools, equipment, and materials; train crew on tools.
• Lead project start-up and close-out information sessions.
• Control project schedule, budgets, and production units.
• Oversee site productivity and reporting.
• Resolve issues and deficiencies during the project life cycle.
• Ensure subcontractors meet schedule and quality expectations.
• Create site-specific quality control plans and compliance.
• Lead safety meetings and review safety programs.
• Mentor and train team members; develop performance goals.
