Job summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Superintendent to manage field operations, safety, schedule, quality, and coordination with trade contractors and the project team on projects generally under $75 million.

You will lead safety programs, review plans, supervise on-site activities, and work with the owner and design team to deliver projects while maintaining AP’s IIF culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field with 6+ years of directly related experience or a high school diploma or equivalent and 10+ years of directly related experience.
• Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, P6, MS Project, Excel, AutoCad, and project management software.
• Solid understanding of building plans and specifications, value engineering, and life cycle costing.
• Proven results in driving safety initiatives and compliance.
• Current or ability to become current with OSHA 30 and company safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Take personal responsibility for working safely within an incident and injury free (IIF) culture.
• Manage on-site construction activities and coordinate with trade contractors and suppliers.
• Understand plans and specifications; maintain updated drawings and documentation.
• Schedule, procure tools, equipment, and materials; conduct weekly toolbox talks.
• Review schedules, budgets, and productivity; ensure quality and safety compliance.
• Create site safety plans and ensure inspections with authorities; lead safety meetings.
