Job summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent in Colorado Springs to coordinate field operations, safety, schedule, and trade coordination on projects generally under $5 million. You will work with the Superintendent/PM, manage on-site activities, ensure quality, and control costs while upholding AP’s incident-and-injury-free culture.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary or bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field with 2+ years related experience, or a high school diploma with 7+ years of related experience.
• Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, MS Project, P6, Excel, AutoCAD, and Revit.
• Solid understanding of building plans, specs, value engineering, and life cycle costing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate field operations with Superintendent/PM, manage on-site activities and schedule.
• Maintain updated construction drawings and quality control plans.
• Collaborate on safety plans and site safety programs; lead on-site safety meetings.
• Monitor budgets, cost codes, and production units; ensure subcontractor performance.
• Assist pre-construction planning, constructability reviews, and schedule development.
