Job summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead on-site construction activities, safety programs, and project coordination for projects typically under $75 million. You will work with the Project Manager, owner, and design team to ensure schedule, quality, and safety compliance across multiple trades.

Responsibilities include managing field operations, updating drawings, conducting toolbox talks, and ensuring subcontractors meet timelines and budgets while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field with 6+ years of directly related experience, or 10+ years with a high school diploma.
• Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, P6, MS Project, Excel, AutoCAD.
• Solid understanding of building plans, specifications, value engineering, and life cycle costing.
• Ability to travel to project sites and manage long-term, out-of-town assignments.

Responsibilities

• Manage on-site construction activities and direct field operations.
• Lead site safety, maintain IIF culture, and coordinate with owners/design teams.
• Develop and monitor project schedules, cost codes, budgets, and productivity.
• Ensure quality control per AP programs and conduct weekly toolbox talks.
• Collaborate with trade contractors to meet schedules and deliver quality work.
• Prepare start-up/close-out information and manage inspections with authorities.
