Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Senior Superintendent to plan, manage and execute complex projects, leading the team and maintaining schedule, budget and safety for the duration of the project.

You will coordinate with owners, design teams, and subcontractors, manage field staffing, and drive lean and efficiency initiatives while ensuring quality and on-time delivery across multiple jobs or large-scale efforts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
• 10+ years construction experience.
• 8+ years field supervision experience.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
• May require periods of travel and/or relocation.
• May be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs.

Responsibilities

• Leads all aspects of safety culture and creates awareness for injury-free environment.
• Manages subcontractors and organizes overall job/workflow.
• Oversees staff, subcontractors, suppliers and programs such as Safety, Quality and EEO.
• Develops work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
• Coordinates project site care, custody and control.
• Leads meetings including daily standups and weekly trade meetings.
• Participates in progress or OAC meetings and prepares reports.
• Creates and manages the project schedule with the Project Manager.
• Monitors project budget/costs using cost reports.
• Communicates project information to owners, design teams, authorities and vendors.
• Ensures QA/QC and documentation standards are met.
• Supports project closeouts and pre-punch activities.
• Understands project pursuit process and lifecycle.
