Job summary

Clayco invites a Senior Site Safety Manager to lead safety on major projects across the Southeast. You will champion a zero-injury culture, develop project safety programs, conduct weekly inspections, and coordinate orientations for new workers in accordance with OSHA/Clayco standards.

Reporting to the project team, you will mentor safety supervisors, review subcontractor safety plans, and drive continuous improvement through field training, incident investigations, and timely corrective actions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety or related field and OSHA 30-hour construction accreditation.
• 20+ years of safety experience in building construction with leadership responsibility.
• 5+ years of field experience and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interfacing and team leadership.
• Proven track record in developing safety programs and driving compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and administration of project safety programs and orientations.
• Lead weekly jobsite safety inspections and document findings with corrective actions.
• Coordinate with project staff and subcontractors to implement safety procedures.
• Coach and manage safety supervisors, review subcontractor safety plans, and conduct pre-task analyses.
• Investigate incidents, prepare reports, and promote a zero-injury safety culture.
