Job summary

Clayco is seeking a Site Safety Manager to support project safety programs, conduct weekly site inspections, and promote a zero-injury culture across multiple projects nationwide. You will lead safety orientations, train staff, and verify subcontractor safety plans align with OSHA and Clayco standards.

This role requires a Bachelor’s in Safety and 10+ years of field experience in construction, with OSHA 30 and possibly OSHA 500.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent.
• 6-12 years of safety experience in building construction.
• 10+ years of field experience minimum.
• OSHA 30-hour construction accreditation.
• OSHA 500 Outreach Trainer is a plus.
• Strong management, leadership, and interpersonal skills with clear communication.
• Ability to work at heights and perform physical tasks on active construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of the project safety program and establish jobsite orientation for new employees.
• Attend initial meetings and define roles within the safety program.
• Manage larger projects up to $160M and interface with clients.
• Coordinate and lead safety meetings with subcontractors and project staff.
• Facilitate safety training and ensure OSHA/Clayco standards compliance.
• Investigate incidents and maintain safety records, stop unsafe practices immediately.
