Job summary

Clayco is seeking a Site Safety Manager to support the safety team and field staff in enforcing corporate safety standards and federal/state regulations on projects nationwide. You will conduct weekly safety meetings, coach workers, and drive a zero-injury culture while coordinating with project management and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent.
• 6-12 years of safety experience in building construction.
• 10+ years of field experience minimum.
• OSHA 30-hour construction accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of the project safety program.
• Establish and conduct jobsite orientation for new project employees.
• Attend initial meetings with project staff and subcontractor representatives.
• Manage larger projects up to $160M.
• Conduct and document pre-planning safety meetings with subcontractor representatives.
• Establish and conduct regular (weekly) safety meetings with subcontractor representatives and project staff.
• Coordinate training to ensure standards per OSHA/Clayco and federal/state requirements.
• Maintain safety records and incident reporting.
