Job summary

Clayco is seeking a Senior Site Safety Manager to support project staff and the safety team in implementing corporate safety standards across diverse sites. The role emphasizes fostering a zero-injury culture and leading safety initiatives on high-value projects.

The position oversees safety programs for large undertakings up to $320M, conducts weekly inspections, administers orientations, and coordinates with subcontractors to ensure OSHA compliance and proactive safety training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, or equivalent.
• 20+ years of safety experience in building construction.
• 5+ years of field experience.
• OSHA 30-hour construction accreditation.
• OSHA 500 Outreach Trainer is a plus.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Develop and administer the project safety program.
• Establish and conduct jobsite orientation for new project employees.
• Attend initial meetings to define roles within the safety program.
• Manage safety for large projects up to $320M and oversee multiple sites.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and subcontractor safety planning.
• Investigate incidents and maintain all required safety records.
