Job summary

Clayco is seeking a Site Safety Manager to support the safety team and project staff in implementing corporate safety standards across projects nationwide. The role focuses on developing a zero-injury culture, conducting weekly jobsite inspections, coordinating orientations for new workers, and reviewing subcontractor safety plans to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent.
• 6–12 years of safety experience in building construction.
• 10+ years of field experience minimum.
• OSHA 30-hour construction accreditation.
• OSHA 500 Outreach Trainer is a plus.
• Strong management, leadership, and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
• Physical ability to climb stairs, ladders, and work at heights.
• Willingness to travel nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of the project safety program.
• Establish and conduct jobsite orientation for new project employees.
• Attend initial meetings to define safety roles within the project safety program.
• Manage large projects up to $160M.
• Client interfacing and oversight of Clayco Safety Supervisors.
• Conduct regular safety meetings with subcontractors and project staff.
• Facilitate site safety training per OSHA/Clayco standards.
• Maintain safety records and incident reporting.
