Job summary

Austin Commercial is seeking a Senior Safety Manager for the North Texas Division to lead safety programs across projects. The role focuses on building relationships with project staff and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with safety policies, and delivering training and investigations as needed.

The position requires extensive safety leadership experience in construction, CSP/ASP certification (preferred), OSHA 500 Trainer, and strong communication and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in safety field preferred; 8-10 years safety experience in construction preferred.
• CSP or ASP certification through BCSP preferred but not required.
• Authorized OSHA 500 Trainer.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• SWPP knowledge.
• Safety certification from BCSP or an equal alternative.
• Advanced knowledge of construction processes and procedures.
• Proficient in relevant software.
• Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities; able to conduct crucial conversations.
• Manages time and resource allocation to provide safety leadership on projects.

Responsibilities

• Builds working relationships with project staff and subcontractor safety representatives.
• Ensures compliance with safety manual, policies and expectations; conducts safety reviews as needed.
• Creates accurate safety reports and accident investigation documents.
• Provides and leads safety training and subcontractor development; strong presentation skills.
• Represents company professionally with owner and subcontractors.
• Creates and facilitates safety training aligned with project schedules.
• Builds and maintains relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, architects, etc.).
• Participates in safety organizations outside of the company and in the assigned region.
