Job summary

Austin Commercial is seeking a Senior Safety Manager for the North Texas Division to lead safety programs across major projects in the Fort Worth area. The role focuses on building strong relationships with project staff and subcontractors, ensuring OSHA compliance, and driving incident investigations.

The ideal candidate will have an associates degree in safety, 8–10 years of construction safety experience, and relevant certifications such as CSP/ASP or OSHA 500 Trainer status.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a safety-related field preferred, and/or 8–10 years safety experience in construction.
• CSP or ASP certification preferred but not required.
• Authorized OSHA 500 Trainer.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• SWPP knowledge.
• Safety certification from an accredited organization, such as BCSP or an equal alternative.
• Advanced knowledge of construction processes and procedures.
• Proficient in relevant software.
• Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities; ability to have effective crucial conversations.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Builds working relationships with project staff and subcontractor safety representatives.
• Ensures compliance with the company’s current safety manual, policies and expectations, conducting project safety reviews as needed.
• Creates accurate safety reports and accident investigation documents.
• Provides, participates, and leads staff in safety training and subcontractor development; possesses strong presentation skills.
• Represents company in a positive and professional manner with owner and subcontractors.
• Creates and facilitates safety training on a variety of subjects that align with particular project schedules.
• Builds and maintains relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, architects, etc.).
• Participates in safety organizations outside of the company and in assigned region.
