Job summary

Austin Commercial is seeking a Safety Manager for the North Texas Division to lead the site safety program on assigned projects. The role includes educating staff on federal, state, and local safety laws and enforcing the company safety manual and policies.

You will build relationships with project staff and subcontractors, create safety reports, and lead training to reduce incidents while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• OSHA 510 certification within five years or equivalent.
• Authorized OSHA 500 Trainer required.
• Five years of current General Contractor experience or a related degree and BCSP certification.
• OSHA 500 preferred.
• BSCP/BCSP certifications preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certifications current.
• SWPP knowledge and advanced construction process knowledge.
• Proficient in relevant software and able to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Build working relationships with project staff and subcontractor safety representatives.
• Create accurate safety reports and incident investigations.
• Provide safety training and develop subcontractor safety programs.
• Represent the company professionally with owners and subcontractors.
• Develop and facilitate safety trainings aligned with project schedules.
• Maintain relationships with vendors, subcontractors, architects, and suppliers.
• Participate in external safety organizations within the region.
• Ensure compliance with the safety manual and company expectations.
