Job summary

Austin Commercial is seeking a Senior Safety Manager for its North Texas Division to lead safety on major construction projects. You will build relationships with project staff and subcontractors, ensure compliance with safety manuals, and produce safety reports and investigations.

You will mentor staff, deliver safety training, and represent the company with owners and partners. The role requires extensive construction safety experience and relevant certifications; you will influence safety

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a safety-related field, with 8–10 years of construction safety experience.
• CSP or ASP certification preferred but not required.
• OSHA 500 Trainer certification preferred.
• CPR and First Aid current licensure.
• SWPP knowledge.
• Safety certification from BCSP or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes and safety protocols.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities; able to lead crucial conversations.
• Ability to manage time and resources to provide safety leadership on multiple projects.
• Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Builds working relationships with project staff and subcontractor safety representatives.
• Ensures compliance with the company’s safety manual, policies and expectations; conducts project safety reviews as needed.
• Creates accurate safety reports and accident investigation documents.
• Provides and leads safety training and subcontractor development; strong presentation skills.
• Represents the company professionally with owners and subcontractors.
• Creates and facilitates safety training aligned with project schedules.
• Maintains relationships with key vendors and safety partners.
• Participates in safety organizations outside the company and within the assigned region.
