Job summary

Austin Commercial seeks a Senior Safety Manager for the Austin, Texas Division. You will lead site safety programs on assigned projects, ensuring compliance with safety manuals, policies, and regulatory requirements, while educating staff and subcontractors.

This role requires an OSHA 500 trainer certification, CPR/First Aid, and a proven track record in construction safety leadership. You will develop safety training, produce reports, and represent the company professionally to owners and

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred and/or 8-10 years safety experience in construction
• Authorized OSHA 500 Trainer
• CPR and First Aid certifications current
• SWPPP knowledge
• Safety certification from an accredited organization (e.g., BCSP) or equivalent
• Advanced knowledge of construction processes and procedures
• Proficient in relevant software
• Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities; capable of crucial conversations
• Ability to manage time and resources to provide safety leadership
• Legally authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorships provided

Responsibilities

• Builds working relationships with project staff and subcontractor safety representatives
• Ensures compliance with safety manual, policies and expectations; conducts safety reviews as needed
• Creates accurate safety reports and accident investigation documents
• Provides, participates in, and leads safety training and subcontractor development; possesses strong presentation skills
• Represents company professionally with owner and subcontractors
• Creates and facilitates safety training aligned with project schedules
• Builds and maintains relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, architects)
• Participates in safety organizations outside of the company and in assigned region
