Job summary

Austin Commercial is seeking a Safety Manager for the Houston Texas Division to lead the site safety program, educate staff on federal, state, and local regulations, and ensure compliance with the safety manual.

The role requires 6–8 years of construction safety experience, OSHA 500 trainer status, CPR/First Aid, and BCSP certification; you will train teams, prepare safety reports, and work with subcontractors to uphold safety standards.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years safety experience in construction.
• Authorized OSHA 500 Trainer status.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• SWPP knowledge.
• Professional safety certification (e.g., BCSP) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Builds working relationships with project staff and subcontractor safety representatives.
• Creates accurate safety reports and accident investigation documents.
• Provides staff safety training and contributes to subcontractor development.
• Represents the company in a positive, professional manner with owners and subcontractors.
• Develops and facilitates safety training aligned with project schedules.
• Maintains relationships with key vendors and safety resources.
• Participates in safety organizations regionally and beyond.
