Job summary

Austin Commercial is seeking a Senior Safety Manager for the Austin, Texas Division to lead the site safety program on assigned projects, educating staff on federal, state, and local safety requirements and ensuring compliance with the safety manual.

You will build relationships with project staff and subcontractors, develop safety training, produce accurate reports, and represent the company professionally. 8–10 years safety leadership preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or associate-level safety credentials with construction safety experience preferred.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities with a track record of crucial conversations.
• Experience leading safety programs on large construction projects and compliance with SWPP.
• Authorized OSHA 500 Trainer and BCSP certification or equivalent required or preferred.
• Proficient in relevant software and able to manage time and resources for safety leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manages the site safety program on assigned project and educates staff on laws and company policies.
• Builds relationships with project staff and subcontractor safety representatives.
• Conducts safety reviews, creates reports, and leads incident investigations.
• Leads safety training for staff and subcontractors and develops safety materials.
• Represents the company professionally with owners and subcontractors; builds vendor relationships.
• Facilitates safety training aligned with project schedules and participates in regional safety activities.
