Job summary

Austin Commercial is seeking a Safety Manager for the Austin, Texas Division to lead the site safety program on assigned projects. You will educate project staff on applicable federal, state, and local laws, ensuring compliance with the company’s safety manual and expectations.

You will build relationships with project teams, create safety reports, and lead staff and subcontractor safety training with strong presentation skills.

Qualifications

• OSHA 510 certification current (within 5 years).
• Five years of General Contractor safety experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or BCSP Certification with three years GC experience.

Responsibilities

• Builds relationships with project staff and subcontractor safety reps.
• Creates accurate safety reports and accident investigation documents.
• Provides and participates in staff safety training and subcontractor development; strong presentation skills.
• Represents company with owner and subcontractors in a positive, professional manner.
• Creates and facilitates safety training aligned with project schedules.
• Maintains relationships with key vendors and stakeholders.
• Participates in safety organizations within the region and externally.
• Ensures compliance with safety manual, policies and expectations.
