Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a senior Quality Manager III to direct program-wide quality management for major projects. You will own the site QC system, oversee audits, and manage a QC team across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with owner and agency requirements and driving corrective actions.

The role emphasizes building a robust QC organization, coordinating with owners, and reporting metrics monthly. Travel to project sites and interaction with the owner quality team are expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in construction quality, with 5+ years managing quality programs and staff.
• Experience with owner quality programs under ISO 9001, NQA-1, or DOT quality assurance frameworks.
• Proven ability to build a QC organization on a new program and hold it to the plan.

Responsibilities

• Establish the program quality management system: plans, procedures, forms, and the audit schedule.
• Direct Quality Managers I and II across projects; set coverage, review performance, and develop staff.
• Lead internal audits and host owner, agency, and third-party audits; own the corrective-action program.
• Approve quality control plans, ITPs, and laboratory and inspection subcontractor qualifications.
• Report quality metrics — test pass rates, NCR aging, audit findings — to program leadership monthly.
