Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Construction Quality Manager III to direct quality across a major program. You own the site quality management system, audits, and the development of every QC person on the program, coordinating with the owner's quality organization.

Your week centers on audit findings, corrective actions, and quality metrics presented to leadership; you coach Quality Managers and ensure compliance with ISO/QA frameworks across projects.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in construction quality, with 5+ years managing quality programs and staff.
• Senior certifications: USACE CQM-C, ICC special inspector (multi-categories), NICET IV or ASQ CQA/CMQ-OE.
• Experience with ISO 9001, NQA-1 or DOT QA frameworks on owner programs.
• Proven ability to build a QC organization on a new program and sustain it.

Responsibilities

• Establish the program quality management system: plans, procedures, forms, and the audit schedule.
• Direct Quality Managers I and II across projects; set coverage and staff development.
• Lead internal audits and host owner, agency, and third-party audits.
• Own the corrective-action program; approve QC plans, ITPs, and subcontractor qualifications.
• Report quality metrics—test pass rates, NCR aging, audit findings—to program leadership monthly.
