Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to lead the project quality control program on large, multi-phase civil or federal work. You will write the QC plan, chair three-phase control meetings, and own the data behind every test result and nonconformance.

You will supervise QC inspectors, coordinate lab testing, and ensure material certifications across subs. Strong communication with owners and superintendents is essential for audits and schedule adherence.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
• 2+ years supervising inspectors.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner programs.
• Writes clearly and holds the line with superintendents and owner reps.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
• Assign daily coverage and review their reports.
• Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
