Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to lead the quality control program on large projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or federal work under USACE or NAVFAC requirements. You’ll write the project QC plan, run three-phase meetings, and own NCR resolution with owners and subcontractors on testing and certifications.

Responsibilities include supervising QC inspectors, coordinating with laboratories, and ensuring correct documentation and audits.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
• 2+ years supervising inspectors.
• USACE CQM-C certificate plus ICC special inspector or NICET Level III certification.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
• Writes clearly and presents data to owners and superintendents.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
• Assign daily coverage and review their reports.
• Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
