Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to lead the quality control program on large, multi-phase projects with field inspectors and technicians reporting to you. You will write the project QC plan, chair three-phase control meetings, and be the owner’s QA point of contact for all test results and NCRs.

You will guide preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings, supervise staff, and coordinate lab testing, certifications, and approvals.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
• 2+ years supervising inspectors.
• USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner programs experience.
• Clear written communication in QA/QC processes.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and obtain owner acceptance.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for each feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians and review reports.
• Assign daily coverage and review field reports.
• Run NCRs, corrective actions, and close retests with documentation.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
