Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to run the on-site quality program for large, multi-phase projects with heavy civil, industrial, or federal scope. You own the project quality control plan, lead three-phase meetings with the owner's QA representative, and own the test results and nonconformances.

You will supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians, assign daily coverage, and coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection, including 2+ years supervising inspectors.
• USACE CQM-C certificate plus ICC special inspector or NICET Level III certification.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
• Writes clearly and holds the line in a room of superintendents and owner representatives.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency;
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work;
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians;
• assign daily coverage and review their reports;
• Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings;
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
