Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to lead the quality control program on large, multi-phase projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or US federal work. You will oversee field inspectors, write the QC plan, and directly answer for test results and nonconformances with the owner's QA representative.

Your week centers on feature-by-feature planning and inspections, reviewing logs, and ensuring NCRs have documented causes and closed retests.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
• 2+ years supervising inspectors.
• Experience with USACE, NAVFAC, DOT quality programs.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and obtain owner acceptance.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for each feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians; review reports.
• Coordinate lab testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications.
• Manage nonconformance, corrective actions, and NCR retests.
