Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Construction Quality Manager II to run the quality control program on large or multi‑phase projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or USACE/NAVFAC work. You write the project QC plan, run three‑phase control meetings, and own every test result and nonconformance.

You supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians, coordinate lab testing and certifications, review reports, and present data to owners and site leadership.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
• 2+ years supervising inspectors.
• USACE CQM-C certificate.
• ICC special inspector or NICET Level III certification.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner programs.
• Writes clearly and holds the line in meetings.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
• Assign daily coverage and review their reports.
• Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
