Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Construction (QA) Inspector for the Louisville, KY area.

You will deliver surveillance reports on all phases of construction to ensure compliance with plans, specs, workmanship, materials, and installation. The role requires extensive DoD/USACE project experience, familiarity with NFPA, NEC, IPC, and OSHA/EM 385-1-1 standards, and proficiency with RMS 3.0.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associates or bachelor’s preferred.
• 10+ years experience on DoD/USACE federal projects with construction contract administration and inspection.
• Hospital construction experience preferred.
• Experience with vertical construction and relevant building codes.
• Experience with RMS 3.0 and three-phase inspection process.
• Experience with OSHA and EM 385-1-1 USACE Safety Manual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers surveillance reports on all construction phases for compliance with plans, specs, workmanship, materials, installation.
• Provides technical expertise to ensure project compliance with standards, codes, specifications and design instructions.
• Performs inspections and daily site reports including progress, safety, and subcontractor manpower notes.
• Observes construction phases for schedule compliance; identifies problems, recommends changes, and assesses contract modifications.
• Prepares complete engineering plans or reports.
• Reviews contractor schedules and submittals for approval.
• Assists in all phases of the contract modification process.
• Monitors project progress and notifies the team of potential delays.
• Uses the Resident Management System (RMS) in daily duties.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
