Zurich North America is seeking an Executive Underwriter or AVP, Underwriter Director – Construction Property Underwriter to join our Specialties Construction team. This remote role is based in the US and involves underwriting complex Construction Property accounts and guiding brokers and distributors to growth opportunities.

Key responsibilities include applying underwriting rules, developing cross-functional partnerships, mentoring peers, and proactively pursuing renewals and new business

Formación

• High School Diploma or Equivalent with 5+ years underwriting/market facing experience
• OR High School Diploma or Equivalent with 10+ years claims/underwriting support experience
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with Associate Degree and 3+ years underwriting/market facing experience
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with Associate Degree and 8+ years claims/underwriting support experience
• AND Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Experience working on time restraints for quotes on new and renewal business
• Experience working in a team environment
• AVP level: 7+ years underwriting/market facing experience or 14+ years claims/underwriting support experience
• Zurich Apprentice with Associate Degree and 5+ years underwriting/market facing experience
• AND Microsoft Office

Responsabilidades

• Handle complex new and renewal domestic Construction Property accounts.
• Serve as SME on the team and mentor others.
• Develop and maintain relationships with distributors (agents & brokers).
• Support sales culture by assisting agents, brokers and customers.
• Proactively seek renewal and new account opportunities.
• Complete detailed opportunity assessments with key distributors.
• Qualify accounts to meet appetite and opportunities.
• Make broker/customer on-site calls with clear purpose.
