Zurich North America is seeking an Executive Underwriter or AVP, Underwriter Director for Construction Property. This remote role can be based in the San Antonio or Austin area and involves handling complex Construction Property accounts while collaborating with US brokers.

The position offers opportunities to guide juniors, develop broker relationships, and grow new business while adhering to underwriting rules and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum years of underwriting or market-facing experience as required (5+ or 7+ depending on level).
• Experience with time-restrained quotes for new and renewal business.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsabilités

• Administer underwriting rules and guidelines and remain compliant with insurance laws.
• Collaborate with Line of Business representatives on referrals and needs.
• Provide guidance to lower level associates where applicable.
• Build relationships with distributors (agents & brokers) to support retention and growth.
• Support sales culture by acting as a Help Point for agents, brokers and customers.
• Proactively seek renewal and new account opportunities.
• Complete opportunity assessments with key distributors to identify growth.
