Job summary

Zurich is seeking an experienced Executive Underwriter or AVP, Underwriter Director – Construction Property Underwriter to join our Specialties Construction team. This remote role is based in the San Antonio or Austin area and offers opportunities to lead complex Construction Property accounts while aligning with Zurich's underwriting and marketing standards.

You will develop broker relationships, guide lower-level staff, and pursue renewal opportunities, with detailed opportunity assessments

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in underwriting or market facing area.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex new and renewal domestic Construction Property accounts.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on the team.
• Develop and maintain relationships with distributors (agents & brokers).
• Support sales culture by being a Help Point for agents, brokers and customers.
• Proactively seek renewal and new account opportunities.
• Complete detailed opportunity assessment with key distributors.
