Job summary

Zurich NA is seeking an experienced Executive Underwriter or AVP, Underwriter Director for Construction Property. This remote role is based in the United States, with potential placement in San Antonio or Austin, and reports to the Underwriting Team.

You will handle complex Construction Property accounts, guide junior staff, and collaborate with brokers nationwide to maximize growth and retention. Competitive pay with incentive potential is offered alongside comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in underwriting or market facing area.
• Experience working on time restraints for quotes on new and renewal business.
• Experience working in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer underwriting rules and guidelines, insurance laws and regulations, and rating annual rules.
• Develop, maintain & collaborate with Line of Business reps on referrals and other needs.
• May provide guidance to lower level associates.
• Develop and maintain relationships with distributors (agents & brokers).
• Supports the sales culture by being a Help Point for agents, brokers and customers.
• Proactively seek renewal and new account opportunities.
• Complete detailed opportunity assessment with key distributors to identify growth opportunities.
